Together with our Hungarian partner
organisation "U=rope"
we organise a 4-day long event, where we expect
more then 100 participants (university students, young
workers, etc.) from all over Europe. During the first
two days there shall be lectures delivered by experts
followed by discussions on the issues and challenges facing
the enlarged EU. The following two days there will be
a simulation of the decision-making system of the European
Union.
Besides 'hard work', an interesting social and cultural
programme is waiting for the participants to
enjoy your stay in Budapest.
The event shall take place in the heart of Budapest, on
a ship on the Danube from 27 - 31 October. The participation
fee is 50 Euro, which covers all meals and accommodation
costs. Travel reimbursements are also available. |

The Simulation
During the entire simulation,
participants shall act on behalf of their Member
State or Political Party. At the conference, three
of the EU's Institutions shall be simulated; the
European Parliament, the European Council, the
General Affairs and External Relations Council.
The same topic (The future of Common Foreign and
Security Policy) shall be discussed at all of
the Institutions and the participants will have
to work for reaching compromises and agreeing
on common positions by the end of the day.
