Citizens' Weekend Gubin
24 - 26 November 2006
Strengthening the Network "Citizens of Europe"
Our Citizens' Weekend will take place in Gubin, which is the Polish part of a Polish/German border city between Poznan, Berlin and Wroclaw. Everybody interested is welcome, we will also be happy to meet members of other initiatives or organisations.
How to go there
If you arrive by airplane or come from Western Europe, you should take a regional train from Berlin to Frankfurt/Oder (about 1 hour) and then another one to Guben (40 min). You will cross the border to Poland as a pedestrian.
If you come from the East, you should go by train to Zielona Gora and take a bus to Gubin there. The buses leave in front of the central railway station (about one hundred meters to the right from the main entrance). Buses depart on Fridays at 6.40, 8.15, 8.25, 9.45, 10.15, 11.00, 12.30, 13.30, 15.15, 17.00, 18.30, 23.20.
Cost
There will be now participation fee.
We will arrange cheap lodging (about 4 Euro per night/person) in a students' dorm. Cost of food will also be relatively low as we are in a small Polish town.
You want to come?
Please inform us about your participation as soon as possible. Send an email to Emin.Ilyas@citizens-of-europe.eu.
We will be happy to answer your questions regarding the meeting!
