David Stulik

davidDavid Stulík is presently working as the Coordinator of democracy projects in Eastern Europe in one of the largest Central European NGO, People in Need. Before, he served as the Project Manager at the Civil Society Development Foundation (NROS). He is also lecturing at the Charles University at the Department of civil society sector. After the EU accession he has been appointed as a member of the European Economic and Social Committee, where he represents Czech non-governmental sector. Previously, he worked for the independent Czech think tank, Europeum - Institute for European policies, which he has co-founded. Mr. Stulik also served as Project Manager and Executive Assistant to Senior Vice President of the EastWest Institute, Euro-American think tank. During his studies he held the position of Vice President of AEGEE-Europe (European Students’ Association). In 1997 he received the award "Young European of the Year". Mr. Stulik has MA degree in Society and Politics from the Central European University and MSc in International Economics from the Warsaw School of Economics.

 

Heidi Ness

heidiHeidi Ness works as a freelance expert in the field of civic education and intercultural learning with a special focus on German-French and European-Arabic exchanges and on training for trainers. In 2000 - 2001 she was expert for German-French and intercultural exchanges at the Gustav-Stresemann-Institute e.V., befor she worked for the Research Group on Youth and Europe of the Center for Applied Policy Research in München. Heidi was one of the authors of the simulation game "Europa der Bürger" (Europe of Citizens) and of the handbook "Train the trainer". She works as a project coordinator for the German national parliament and conducts projects for the Berlin Working Group on Political Education (BAPOP e.V.). Heidi Ness holds a degree in political sciences of Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich.

 

Frank Burgdörfer

frankFrank Burgdörfer is a freelance expert in the field of civic education and project management. He develops materials for civic education and implements seminars, conferences, youth parliaments and simulations, particularly on the topics of parliamentarism and the future of the European Union and the European constitution.During his studies, he was an active member of the European Students' assocation AEGEE. For two years he was president of the networks "International Politics Working Group" and was involved in realising several Europe-wide projects such as "Ten Years of Transition", "Peace Academy Project", "Borderless Europe" and "Education for democracy". Frank Burgdörfer does research on European political identity within his PhD project and is one of the founders of Citizens of Europe. He holds degrees in accounting and finance (Handelshögskolan vid Göteborgs Universitet), Economics (Justus-Liebig-Universtität Gießen) and Political Sciences (Hochschule für Politik, München)
