CYEC - The Convention of Young European Citizens

In April 2003 young Europeans from 18 countries gathered in Berlin for the "Europeakonvent junger Bürgerinnen und Bürger". During their 3 day meeting they did a resolution about the future of the European Union which then presented to the public and distributed to decision makers.

In May 2004 some of the participants came to Berlin again. This time Citizens of Europe was responsible for the meeting. Again a common resolution was formulated which concentrated on the European Constitution, the Union's borders and neighbourhood and Europe's role in the world. For this event we had the support of the German Federal Press- and Information Office and of the Heinz-Schwarzkopf-Stiftung.
